...are all that's been around in here lately. Tiime to clear it out, do some early spring cleaning. I got waaaaay sidetracked for most of 2008, and didn't keep up with my 101 Things list. I think the only things I accomplished off the list in 2008 were to refinish my dining room table (it looks fabulous, I must admit!) and to read a bunch of books - way more than I had planned on! The only thing I really stuck with and succeeded at in 2008 was maintaining my numbness and complete detachment from the world around me. Clearly, I want this to change, as many of the things that I wrote about so long ago on the 101 Things list are social. I just haven't yet found a way to be involved in the world. I definitely don't know how to relate to people, but I can't take a dog to the movies or a museum or just hang out and do crafts together. I mean, I'd even have to go out and get a dog first. Crap. I suck at life. There are a couple of quotes from forum sig lines that stick in my mind (paraphrased, because I'm too lazy to go and look them up): 1. If you don't like your life you'd better hurry up and change it before someone changes it for you. 2. I always wanted to be somebody, but now I realize I should have been more specific. I think the second one is a Lily Tomlin quote. (???) Anyway, both statements apply to me and to my situation in life. I keep wondering what it will take to slap me into being awake and alert and participating in my own life and the world around me?

Some goals can be accomplished in a single day. Others take a little longer. This is one way to keep an eye on all the short-term and moderately long-term goals that you want to accomplish.
